Steam Packet article sparks online debate

An article by Paul Speller has sparked widespread debate online in the Isle of Man.

Paul, in the first of a series of analytical pieces taking a look back at the first parliamentary year following the Manx general election in September, lambasted politicians for their failure to debate publicly the future arrangements for the lifeline sea services with the Isle of Man Steam Packet.

His piece, which you can read here, was the most commented upon article on the IoMToday website over the weekend and also provoked a number of comment threads in various groups on social media.
