If you want to try your hand at papier maché modelling to create a spooky centrepiece for a display, then the workshops are just what you need.
They take place on October 17, 24 and 31, from 1pm to 2.30pm, and cost £5 for each of the first two sessions and £3 for the final session.
‘We’re always looking to put on extra activities and the Creepy Castle models will be the perfect backdrop for some scary stories,’ said librarian in charge Mary Cousins.
The workshops are open to children aged seven upwards. For more details call the library on 640650.
Meanwhile, on October 30, the library is staying open until 6pm, to allow for an hour of spooky stories, games, fancy dress and a disco. The fun gets underway at 5pm and tickets, at £3, are available from the library.
To find out more about what’s on at the Family Library and Mobile Family Library, check out the pages on Facebook or visit www.familylibrary.im or call the library on 640650.
The library is next to the children’s playground in Westmoreland Road, Douglas.
