Plan to force state school pupils to undergo work experience as a miner dropped when Tories remember they closed all the pits

A  new blog from Paul Speller comes on the day Michael Gove announced new reforms for GCSEs (while, a little more quietly elsewhere, the same department confirmed the idea to increase childcare ratios was being dropped).
